<a href="http://s288.photobucket.com/albums/ll193/mohicangiftshop/webstuff/?action=view¤t=IMG_0057-Copy.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll193/mohicangiftshop/webstuff/th_IMG_0057-Copy.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" ></a>now heres the exact same code but a little easier to read:
<a href="http://google.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll193/mohicangiftshop/webstuff/th_IMG_0057-Copy.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" ></a>

this part of the code simply says , "go somewhere" and then proceeds to say just exactly "where" to go...it can also say "how" to go...notice this portion of the html is nothing more than a command <a href= followed by a url and another command target="_blank"...the target="_blank" command simply says open in a new window...the url that precedes it is "what" will open in a new window and the part in blue is what will show as clickable on the web page...which when clicked, will direct you, in a new window, to the location mentioned in the first part of the code. if i were to replace the entire last part with text...it would make a clickable text link...that would take me, in a new window, to the location mentioned in the first part of the code.
i will make an example here
<a href="http://s288.photobucket.com/albums/ll193/mohicangiftshop/webstuff/?action=view¤t=IMG_0057-Copy.jpg" target="_blank">here is some goofy text that will now become a clickable link and will take you to the url mentioned in the first part of this code</a>

here is the result:
now let's look at the urls...
notice the "th_" portion of the .jpg urls
http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll193/mohicangiftshop/webstuff/th_IMG_0057-Copy.jpgnow without the th_
http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll193/mohicangiftshop/webstuff/IMG_0057-Copy.jpg
cut and paste each of the above urls into an address bar, and you will see 2 different results, but the same picture.
this works only with hosted pics that have thumbs...not all pics have thumbs. i like photobucket because they make thumbs automatically.
My apologies...you are prolly sick of looking at me by now....
